EDITORIAL Foreword by the Editor-in-Chief of Review of Information Science and Technology (RIST) by Professor Chinwe Nwogo Ezeani
I am delighted to announce the arrival of the fourth edition of the Review of Information Science and Technology (RIST) journal. Again, I invite you to feast your eyes with this very rich edition – rich in both depth and breath. This is another perfect opportunity to get abreast of all the advancements of the very fast growing field of Library and Information Science. RIST has grown in leaps and bounds and has continued to have a very wide reach and very significant impact. This edition has very original contributions in almost all the spheres of the library and information science profession and is as robust as it can be.
Papers dealing with scholarly communication patterns of academic librarians, big data management, automation of cataloguing operations, promotions metrics of librarians, application of information and communication technologies in libraries and comic book writing and its role in information literacy are all properly articulated in this piece. I would like to seize this opportunity to thank our many contributors who have come from different parts of the country and beyond for their continued confidence and support of the growth of RIST. I would also like to thank the editorial team for their very careful but timely review of our manuscripts. This journal has remained prompt and consistent. We have therefore kept our word!
